However There Are A Few Preliminary Considerations

VISITORS AND MEMBERS – IF YOU WANT TO HAVE FUN & STAY SAFE – PLEASE

  • REGISTER with the walk leader BEFORE the day of THE WALK. (You can do this by phone or email providing phone contact details.  This will enable the walk leader to discuss the walk with you, and let you know of any specific considerations and last minute changes eg. change in meeting time or cancellation.)
  • CONSIDER WALK GRADINGS relative to your fitness level (and challenging yourself is fine).
  • Complete the EMERGENCY CONTACTS & MEDICAL INFORMATION form and CARRY IT IN YOUR PACK in a waterproof bag ON EVERY WALK.
  • WEAR FOOTWEAR and CLOTHING, and carry CLOTHING, EQUIPMENT, FOOD and WATER appropriate for the weather and conditions of the walk.
  • Follow the Ben Cruachan Walking Club RULES AND GUIDELINES FOR MEMBERS, particularly in relation to Organization of Scheduled Walks, Walk Requirements, Walk Leaders, Equipment, and Safe and Enjoyable Bushwalking.
